My Sister, a Soldier in God's Army

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.   Matthew 7:25

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  Matthew 16:18

Nora, to me, you represent the wise man that built your house (your children - DaJuan, TiJuan, Jeremi and Emanuel) on the solid rock which is Christ.  The rain and flood represents all the trials and tribulations you have endured in this life. When things appear to get out of control, you always say, “Not on my watch!”

God has equipped you for the tests with Strength, Perseverance, Patience, Faith, Calmness, Servitude, Love, and Compassion like no other.  Every tear that you have shed has only made you into the Warrior that you are.

Your relationship with God is forged with YOUR weakness and HIS grace. ~ 2 Cor. 12:9.  Even when you suffered alone after TiJuan’s transition, you still had room in your heart to take care of all of us including our uncaring father, and you even found a way to take balloons to your sister in law in the hospital so that they will be the first things she saw when she woke up.

I watch with admiration when I see you work tirelessly with the doctors and nurses to make sure that our ailing mother gets the best care possible.

I love the times when we laugh so hysterically that we are crying.  Nora, our family is so funny and funny things happen to us all the time.  It was funny when the car alarm on your SUV kept going off in traffic while we were hurrying to get me to the car repair shop on time to pick up my car.  I laughed as you hung your head in embarrassment knowing everyone around us was wondering what the heck was going on especially when we pulled up at a light.   I'm the glad the mechanic was able to fix it when we got there.

No one is turned away from your doorstep if they are in need, even if your family is against it, because there is always enough room.  Little sister, you are:

Noble   Optimistic   Restless   Angelic   Loyal   Youthful   Nice   Neighborly

and you have a

P. H. DPower To Hand the Devil

I  Love you and I thank God for you,

God Bless
