Testimony #4 He is my Present Help

Last Saturday, on our way to the chicken place in our neighborhood to pick up our order, my daughter and I stopped at the credit union so I can make a withdrawal from the ATM.  What I liked about this particular credit union is that it has two machines, one on the outside and one in that is enclosed where you have to use your ATM card to enter.  You slide your card in the slot and once it reads your card it will buzz you in.  I always go to the one that's enclosed whenever it's available and today it was.  I used my card to gain access and I was buzzed in.  I made my transaction, and left and headed to the chicken place which was not too far, about a quarter mile.

When we got there, I gave the girl my name and she pulled my ticket and gave it to the cook.  She rung up my order and told me what the amount of my order was. I unzipped my coat sleeve pocket and extracted my visa card and paid my bill.  When I was replacing my visa card back in my coat sleeve pocket, that's when I noticed that I didn't have my credit union ATM card.  Right away a feeling of panic and helplessness came over me.  I double checked all the contents of my coat sleeve pocket and it wasn't there.  I began to look around on the floor to see if maybe I dropped it but I couldn't find it.  Then it dawned on me that I might have left it at the credit union because I don't remember retrieving it from the card reader when I left.

My daughter saw the panicked look on my face and asked me what was wrong and I told her that I think I left my ATM card at the credit union.  She suggested that I go back to the credit union while she waited for her order since it wasn't ready yet.   On the way back to the credit union, I prayed and asked God to please let my card be there when in all actuality I just knew it would be gone.

After I pulled up, I got out and hurried to the enclosed portion of the credit union and I saw a woman making a transaction.  She looked up when she saw me approaching and she must have seen the expression of terror on my face and grabbed my ATM card off the counter and gestured is this yours and I said yes!  She quickly opened the door and handed it to me and I thanked her and left.  Panic and terror was replaced with a tremendous amount of relief.  Someone must have pulled it from the card reader and set it aside on the counter.  I thanked and praised God on the way to pick up my daughter from the chicken place.

THANK YOU LORD FOR MOVING ON THE PERSON'S HEART WHO DISCOVERED MY ATM CARD, MAKING IT TOO HOT TO HANDLE AND THEY HAD TO RELEASE IT.  BLESS THEM, OH LORD, WITH FAVOR!!
