THANK YOU JESUS!!! HALLELUAH TO THE HIGHEST!!!!
Last weekend the hot water was off in my building because thieves came in and stole the copper pipe off of the boiler--- again! Anyway there was no hot water for four days because I understand that there was a financial issue between management and the plumber. That was such a shame. My daughter was shaking her head in protest saying that there are babies and kids in this building. I'm quite sure some tenants had other places to go and others like me just made do and waited. The water was turned completely off on Saturday because the plumber was working on it. I saw him when I took the garbage out and asked him how long would it be before hot water would be restored and he and said a few hours. Around nine o'clock that evening, I heard water running and checked the sink in the kitchen because I left the faucet on just in case. The cold water side was all that came on. My heart sank. Another day without hot water. It ended up being another two days and the hot water was restored on Tuesday evening. I told my coworker about my dilemma and she said that I should be able to get a refund for the days I was without hot water. I told her I didn't think so but I will see. After work I went to the leasing office and spoke with our very nice leasing agent, who will advocate for tenants, about getting a credit or refund on my rent for the four days I was without hot water. She told me to ask the manager just as he was coming out of his office. But before I could get a chance to, she asked him for me. He quietly nodded his head and I was totally shocked! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Today, at work, it's been in an uproar because some of my coworkers received a 10 percent wage cut. A memo was circulated detailing all of the concessions imposed by our company. Most of the unions ratified their contracts and the few that didn't the 10 percent wage cut was imposed. My union was one of the unions that didn't ratify. Fortunately I didn't get hit, so again I say THANK YOU JESUS!!!
